For too many people, growing older means giving up the self-sufficient lifestyle they've always enjoyed. At the Raleigh
County Commission on Aging, Inc. we're working to change that; we're helping people remain healthier, more active, and more
independent than ever before. Our many activities and events help older people remain active participants in the community.
Our in-home services provide an important link to the outside community as well as a means of remaining independent.
Our non-profit agency provides programs and services aimed at enabling older persons to maintain and/or improve their quality
of life and to live independently in the community at the highest level of well being, thereby avoiding institutionalization.
We have evolved and developed into a strong human services agency encompassing a multi-purpose center; four neighborhood centers
throughout Raleigh county; in-home care services and management; and family support services. For the homebound and
disabled elderly our in-home services provide an important link to the outside community as well as a means of remaining independent.
