The Raleigh County Commission on Aging, Inc. hosts a support group for caregivers, family, and friends of those diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.  The group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Multi-Purpose Center located at 1614 South Kanawha Street in Beckley.  The meeting time is scheduled from 2PM until 3:30PM.  A registered nurse conducts the meetings by giving instruction and information to those attending the support group.  The meeting may consist of education, updates on treatment and medicine along with discussion on problems relating to individuals providing care for loved ones.

This Support Group is affiliated with the Alzheimer's Association, West Virginia Chapter.
